The College of Cabin Attendant (CCA), a secondary college under Civil
Aviation University of China (CAUC), is a vocational education
institution aiming at cultivating highly qualified cabin attendants who
are ready to adjust themselves to the rapid development of the modern
aviation industry in the 21st century. On the basis of 44 years of
experience of in-service training, technical secondary school, and
training with associate degrees granted to trainees, the college was
authorized by the Ministry of Education in 1999. From June 1999 to
October 2002 it was affiliated to the Adult Education College, the
Vocational Education College of CAUC successively. In November 2002, the
College of Cabin Attendant was established. There are over 1,000
students and a staff of 11 members (including one professor and one
associate professor) and six part-time employees. It consists of
Administrative Office, Cabin Attendant Teaching Section, Teaching
Management Office, Office of Students?Affairs, and the Nanjing Branch.
It focuses specially on cabin safety & management and cabin attendant
psychology. Based on the solid basis of education and teaching
experience, College of Cabin Attendants has formed its own unique
features with respect to school administration, the faculty’s quality,
teaching methods and facilities. Thousands of qualified cabin attendants
from this College have been employed not only by domestic airlines but
also by several international airlines.
