The Continuing
Education College of CAUC is the sub college of CAUC, the construction
of which includes educational administrative office, recruiting office,
students' affairs office, examination center, courses' developing
office, and total administrative office.
The Continuing Office is one of the most important bases of continuing
education for the whole civil aviation industry. The ideal of the
college lies in the following points: taking the civil aviation industry
as its base; offering service to the whole aviation industry; and
meeting the requirements of the whole society. In accordance with the
need of the development of the civil aviation industry and our society,
the Continuing College explores diploma education and professional skill
training for the in-service personnel on various degrees. The college
has gradually ameliorated its teaching conditions, enhanced its teaching
rules, broaden the way to recruit the students, and started diploma
education and vocational training, since it was founded in 1993. Now the
number of the students for diploma is approximately 3,000. Every year
the number of the training times multiplied trainees will be up to
3,000.
At this time, the target population includes: high school graduates and
three-year college graduates. There are different ways for students to
study here, including full-time education, correspondence education and
education through Internet. The part of the continuing education
includes: on-the-job training for the aviation personnel on the
following subjects: the systematic renewal of professional knowledge;
the improvement of the equipment; the advanced studies of professional
knowledge and skills; other subjects of further studies, and also
diploma training for some professional technological vocation entrusted
to the college by CAAC.
Based on the teaching and researching of CAAC, taking advantage of the
superiority of CAUC on course constructing, the Continuing College makes
a harmonious and rational arrangement of the internal teaching resources
of CAUC, and different kinds of training resources of the aviation
industry, and invites experts and professional personnel to teach here.
The training is started from the following four areas:
1. middle and high level managers training
2. management of operating training.
3. aircraft maintenance training.
4. pilot and flight attendance English language training.
The whole number of the training courses now is fifty-six.
With the development of the civil aviation industry, in order to satisfy
the needs of the market of civil aviation industry, the Continuing
College will constantly develop new professional courses.
