Founded in June 1987, the School of Computer Science and Technology of Civil Aviation University of China, is a important base for education and research in the application of computer science in Civil Aviation of China. By now, more than 1000 students have graduated from the School and gone to work in the different department of Civil Aviation of China, most of them have established themselves as mainstays in work units, some of them have become the leaders of firms and governmental offices.
    There are 40 faculties and staffs in the School at the present, including 2 professors , 18 associate professors, 2 experts sponsored by the Nation Special Stipend, 3 doctors and 7 academic staffs who is pursuing their PhD degree , and over 90% faculties have got their master degree. With an average age of 37, these staffs are young , energetic, full of strong ambition of career , and with their effort, the School has made great progress in both teaching and research.
    The School offers the Master degrees of The Application of Computer Science(granted in 2001). The reaeach of the School focus on Computer Graphics, Application of Database Technology, Pattern Recognize, Virtual Reality, Computer Network and Management Information System. Many important research projects are undertaken in the School sponsored by the Bureau of Civil Aviation of China.
