Directly under CAUC, the College of Air Traffic Management (ATMC) primarily serves the Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) of CAAC, and the related flight operation units, such as air traffic management and flight dispatch. It is the only college in China now that trains specialized technicians and managerial personnel for air traffic management. Eighty percent of the people in service working in the fields of Air Traffic Control(ATC), flight dispatch and aeronautical information service(AIS) are graduates from ATMC. And in the field of Communications and Navigation, graduates from this college account for as many as fifty percent. Many of them have played key roles in various air traffic management units.
     ATMC boasts an excellent teaching staff and good facilities. Twenty percent of the teaching staff hold doctor’s degrees, and thirty percent, professorship. This college holds an advanced position in teaching, research and academic studies, and it offers such a variety of courses that it covers almost all specialties in air traffic management and flight operations. Thus this college enjoys a distinctive feature in civil aviation.
