The College of Humanities and Social Sciences was founded in June 2002
by combining its predecessors --- the Foreign Language Department and
the Social Science Department.
The college has a staff of over 90, and among its 80 teachers there are
33 professors and associate professors, as well as 40 doctoral degree
and master’s degree holders. Now there are 4 teachers working at their
doctoral degrees.
In the college there are two specialities --- law and
English. The college offers courses of Marxist Theories, Moral and
Ideological Cultivation, College English, Literature, Music and other
courses concerning humanities and social sciences to graduates,
undergraduates and students at various levels.
The college includes 4 departments: Law Department, Foreign Language
Department, College English Department and Social Science Department.
There are several research sections concerning aviation law, aviation
psychology, the history of aviation development, the culture of eastern
and western enterprises, linguistics, translation, etc. The college also
runs an academic journal entitled Aviation Law of China.
