Abstract:

A hybrid stress finite element formulation for magnetoelectro-elastic materials is derived and then on the basis
of the boundary displacement field assumed previously, the generalized assumed stress matrixes of 3D-8
nodes hybrid stress finite element and 3D-20 nodes hybrid stress finite element are derived by employing the
iso-function method. Thus it provides the theoretical basis for establishing the hybrid finite stress element
model of magneto-electro-elastic materials. Finally, taking the 3D-8 nodes hybrid stress finite element as
example,a finite element analysis is performed to a magneto-electro-elastic material laminates and a perfect
result is obtained.
