Abstract:

The relationship between transportation price and throughputs in the domestic passenger market of civil aviation in China is studied. The annual data from 1989 to 2007 are collected firstly. Then the data balance is tested with the unite root test of level test and difference test. Finally, the relationship between the two variables is tested with Granger causality test method. The results show that there is a Granger causality relationship between transportation price and throughputs. That is to say,the change of transportation price can lead to the change of throughputs distributed. The lag phase of transportation price爷s impact on amount of throughputs distributed is two to three years, and the influence degree was gradually weakened in the forth year. The result is similar to the fact of development regularity of civil aviation industry and the result provides a theoretical basis for the formulation of the Civil Aviation fare, prompting the civil aviation industry to further develop the market share through the price scheme. It is beneficial to improve the market share of turnover as well as civil aviation transportation, and enhance the competitiveness in the same industry.
