Abstract:

Based on the aircraft cabin environment related accidents in and abroad in recent years, the flight accidents/incidents data of ECS are analyzed. The result shows that most of the environmental control system accidents/incidents are due to failure or fault of controller component of pressure control subsystem. Subsequently, the ECS system is modeled based on Simulink and AEMSim. A typical accident of ECS in aircraft is implemented in such accident simulation model. The key components and parameters as well as the risk assessment are also researched. This work will increase the efficiency of accident investigation relating to cabin environment. The simulation model can also support the design and maintenance of environment control system.
