Abstract:
After nearly 10 years of research and testing, the ban of personal portable electronic devices on board to surf the Internet has been gradually relaxed, meanwhile, various European and American regulators have launched relevant policy standards. Air China,China Eastern,China Southern,Hainan Airlines have converted related aircrafts. Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd has also supplement related functions in design of C919.Airworthiness certification specifications for design, addition and modification of radio transmitting equipment become the urgent problem to be solved. Through the study on radio transmitting equipment, solutions of addition and modification technology and airworthiness certification policies /standards of FAA and EASA,a set of airworthiness certification methods of addition and modification technology for airborne radio transmitting equipments are summarized to provid reference for certification methods of authority.
Key words: portable electronic devices, radio transmitting equipment, addition and modification, airworthiness certification
