Abstract:

Based on ABAQUS finite element, with ‘contribution of the area’as stiffness distribution principle, the joint load transfer coefficient of airport cement concrete slab and its relationship with joint stiffness are studied. Results indicate thatthe load transfer coefficient is not significantly affected by reaction modulus, load and thickness of the foundation. But its relationship with joint stiffness logarithm is stably significant. Further more, combined with cement concrete slab model test, parameters such as bending stress and shear stress of dowel, and deflection of load slab and load transfer slab are measured; the load transfer coefficient as well as the joint stiffness are determined. By comparing with theoretical results, the joint stiffness inversion model based on deflection load transfer coefficient is established, providing reference for the design of airport rigid pavement joints.
