Abstract: In order to solve the irregular flights caused by weather, flow control, engineering maintenance and passenger factors, a flight recovery model is built with the objective function of minimizing the sum of direct and indirect loss of airlines. The impact of passengers disappointment in different cabins caused by flight delay on the future ticket sales of airlines is categorized. The concept of opportunity cost is applied into the function in order to improve the calculation of loss types. A dynamic decision algorithm is designed to find the solution of the model, and instance shows that the irregular loss of flights can be reduced to 44% by this algorithm, proving the advantages of this algorithm in solving flight recovery problems.
