Abstract: A 3D model of bonded-bolted hybrid single -lap joints contending is established based on ABAQUS, damage criteria and stiffness attenuation criterion are added in order to achieve progressive damage analysis. The model is used to analyze the influences on the structure while the thickness and ductility was altered. Results indicate that applied with brittle adhesive film, thicknessincrease can improve the bearing performance of the structure. Varying degrees of ductile adhesive film could provide similar improvement to the bearing performance of the structure. The proposed calculating methods and conclusions could provide reference to composite structure design.
