Abstract: Taking the collaboration network of alliance airlines as the research object, based on the three-subscript model of hub-and-spoke network, and in response to the uncertainty of passenger demand, a stochastic programming model for the international route network optimization for airline alliance is constructed. The relatively better consistent international gateways, as well as the transportation paths and flows that vary with different scenarios can be obtained. Two indicators are proposed to evaluate the improving extent of the solution obtained from stochastic program than the deterministic approaches. The superiority of the stochastic programming model is verified by example analysis, providing useful decision-making reference for the construction and optimization of international route network for airline alliance.
