    ADS-B surveillance performance estimation at Tianjin Binhai International Airport

    ADS-B(automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) is a kind of aircraft surveillance technology basing on GNSS(global navigation satellite system) and aeronautical data link. ADS-B is widely used in en-route, terminal area,airport surface and non-radar area surveillance. To quantitatively evaluate surveillance performance of ADS-B in practice, an ADS-B experimental system is constructed near Tianjin Binhai International Airport. ADS-B message updating period, loss rate, jumping rate and integrity are analyzed by using DF-17 data which is collected by the experimental system. Results show that the ADS-B message updating period is shorter and the loss rate of cruising flight is lower than approaching and departuring flight. Some aircrafts may have jumping points with low jumping rate, and the integrity of position data of ADS-B system is up to 98.8%.

    The accuracy of speed measurement is an important parameter of coherent Doppler lidar. Echo signal processing method is the focus of the current research. A series of velocity measurement experiments are carried out.Maximum likelihood discretization estimation is used to estimate the spectrum frequency, which is then realized by Matlab and simulation toolbox. Analysis of velocity measurement error combined with relevant parameters found that when correlation coefficient is higher, the velocity measurement error generally becomes smaller. The biggest velocity measurement error will be smaller than 0.5 m/s and the average error will be less than 0.3m/s using maximum likelihood estimation.

    Aiming at problems such as irrational configuration of aeroengine exhaust temperature sensor, limitation of the existing algorithms, fail of fault sensor recognition for a certain type of aircraft, sensors are re-distributed, by using wavelet transform for data prepossessing and removing noise factors among them. Multi-sensor data fusion technology is used for a deeper optimization, and the algorithm identifiability is tested under condition of sensor fault. Finally, five kinds of algorithms are compared and analyzed through experiment. Results show that algorithms based on data fusion can obtain higher accuracy and better fault identification capability.

    To clarify developing problems of airports in China, summarize main features of mature hub airports, give useful suggestions for the development of China爷s hub airports, and lay foundation for the classification of Chinese hub airports, existing airport classification methods are studied and a reasonable evaluation index system is extracted.AHP(analytical hierarchy process)is employed to analyze the airport operating indicators, growth indicators and airport hinterland indicators in order to establish a comprehensive evaluation index system. 202 international airports in China are classified, summing up functions of major airports and different levels of airport development proposals. It is proposed to set up airport group and multi -airport collaborative development model with normalization of national airports爷passenger throughput, cargo and mail throughput and other indices.

    To improve ground operation efficiency of Pudong International Airport, focusing on apron and taxiways near north Terminal 2, inefficiency of ground operation of flights in this area under present operation mode is analyzed by taxi time and rate of normality. Then, two feasible optimization schemes are proposed. Based on operating data on one typical flight day, a simulation model is built by Flexsim, simulating ground operation of flights under two optimization schemes. By statistics and comparison of simulation results, a scheme that can effectively improve the ground operation efficiency of flights is obtained, which can reduce maximum queening flights by 22.2%,average queening time by 24.5%, taxiing-in and taxiing-out time by 0.5 min and 2.1 min separately.

    Taxing-out delay cost is taken as research object, considering airlines'cost and passenger cost including environmentalcost. Four aircraft types are selected forcase study. In addition, relationship between environmental cost,total cost and price of carbon dioxide is analyzed based on sensitivity analyses. Results show that delay costs for A320, B738, B763 and B744 are seperately 446 RMB/min, 479 RMB/min, 907 RMB/min, 1 578 RMB/min;carbon dioxide cost accounts for a high percentage of environmental cost and increases rapidly with the price of carbon dioxide while the rate slows down; however, the environmental cost accounts for a low percentage of total cost and also increases as the price of carbon dioxide when the rate is almost constant.

    Possible factors of aviation market demand is analyzed from the perspective of airline operations, meanwhile,multiple regression equation is employed to establish the passenger demand function. Through analysis of actual operational data, direct factors of market demand are confirmed including ticket price, sales channel, flight year,flight date and advanced selling time. On this basis, considering the difference among various kinds of routes as well as the competition between airlines, the impact of the above factors on passengers'demand is analyzed,especially the impact of passenger ticket prices on market demand. Empirical research shows that the model fitting effect is good, and the factors'influence on market demand is consistent with facts and common sense,providing quantitative decision-making reference for airline fare formulation.

    Effective connection of pickup-truck and aircraft is of importance for express service providers. A mixed integer programming model for pickup-truck and aircraft scheduling problem in air express is put forward. Benders decomposition and a two-stage heuristic algorithm are used to solve the mixed integer programming model. The computational experiments on various instances show that the model and algorithms are correct and effective.Computational results provide some important decision reference to express service providers. From the angle of synchronous scheduling of pickup-trucks and aircrafts, constraints on service timeliness and capacity matching are used to describe the interactions between ground and air network. The current study supplements modelconstructing ways of vehicle routing problem.

    To investigate the cause mechanism of passengers'cabin unsafe behaviors, an empirical study is conducted through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses for 436 questionnaires. Results show that 4 stable and reliable factors could explain it including risk perception, subjective norms, perceived behavior control and risk tendency, the first two of them have bigger effect on the decision of cabin unsafe behaviors.

    As a main analytical method of HWD test data of airport road surface, there exist many forms of deflection basin area index in and abroad because of various amount of sensors and different space arrangements. But there is almost none analysis about the reliability and application scope of these formulae. Based on the theory of elastic substrate, five deflection basin area indices are analyzed and compared with calculation results of 99 instances.Analyses show that remote sensors are better choice and the more of them, more accurate the data will be. Based on the above analyses, error ranges of the current five deflection basin area index methods are obtained. Finally,the area index method of deflection basin with 6 outer deflection schemes is proposed with larger analyzing results than actual values, and the limit analyzing error can be limited below 10.47%.

    In traditional cutting simulation model, workpiece or tool model is set as rigid body, which can not effectively reflect the cutting process of workpiece and tool in thermodynamic coupling in real state; thermal conductivity increase of material can not accurately reflect the cutting fluid and material surface heat exchange process. J-C constitutive model and dynamic failure model are established to reflect the material processing characteristics. The cooling effect of cooling medium is simulated by adding convective heat transfer. Finite element software ABAQUS is used to simulate J-C constitutive model and dynamic failure model. The effects of different cutting parameters, tool shapes and cooling mediums during the machining process of AISI-1045 steel are analyzed, and the correctness of simulation results is verified by comparison with experimental data.

    To solve the problem of incredible arbitration in the authentication codes with arbitration, the concept of A3-codes is proposed. In an A3-code, none of the three participants is assumed trustable including transmitter,receiver and arbiter. This authentication system is more suitable for realistic environment with extensive application prospect. A perfect A3-code is constructed by using subspace structure and counting method of projective geometry over finite fields, parameters of the constructed code are given, and the maximum success probabilities of various cheating attacks are also calculated. Compared with some known A3 codes, this code has obvious advantages. Simulation results show that this code has good security.
