Adapting to the need of China’s civil aviation industry as well as the whole society, CAUC attaches great importance to the disciplinary construction. The university is molded into a polytechnic institute with a focus on engineering and a strong complement of science as well as management, economics and law. CAUC has 2 doctorate degree conferred disciplines in construction, 12 master’s degree conferred disciplines, 49 master’s degree conferred sub-disciplines, 27 undergraduate disciplines, and 9 municipal flagship disciplines. The university boasts 4 municipal key disciplines, 3 CAAC key construction disciplines, and 3 state-level construction centers for characteristic specialty, constituting an array of leading disciplines with considerable significance in China.
Full attention has been paid upon the development of aviation characterized disciplines. With disciplines and specialties covering almost all the fields of civil aviation, CAUC has constructed a multi-disciplinary, multi-level, multi-pattern talent cultivation system offering support for industrial sectors.
