CIVIL ENGINEERING (AIRPORT ENGINEERING FIELD)

Training Program: 

(1) Maintenance and management of airport facilities (for airport)
It includes the routine maintenance and reparation of the aerodrome facilities, non-destructive testing of the airport runway pavement, technology of airport construction strengthening, construction technique and management of airport engineering, etc. 

(2) Management staff training It includes quality control of airport construction, construction technology and datum management, management of construction investment, management of construction investment, management of  construction project code and procedure, training for the administrators of airports. 

(3) Technician training It includes registered constructor, registered structural engineer, registered civil engineer (geotechnical engineering), registered cost engineer, registered supervision engineer, testing engineer, etc.


TRAFFIC ENGINEERING 

Training Program : 

(1) The airport operation and management (command at the scene)  It includes the airport operation (the apron, flight, etc.) safeguard, emergency rescue and non-stop flights construction management, the airport clearance management, the prevention and treatment of the bird hazard, the airport electromagnetic environmental protection, visual aids lighting, terminal weak electrical system management, Transport services, and other relevant content of the training. 

(2) The airport operation and management  *The macro supervision  The airport operation supervision : The related policies and regulations of the training, such as economic regulatory system, the airport operating mode, the airport charging system, monitoring  system for flight delays, taking-off and landing schedules, the airport commission management, the airport license operation, admission of airport ground service markets and so on.  *The micro operation  It includes related theories of training, such as those of airport layout, planning and construction, international hub construction, cargo hub development, transformation from the airport operation mode into the management mode, the airport information construction, the establishment and development of the airport training system and so on.

The objective of this course is to introduce the management procedures and technical standards of the airfield area of civil airports, including the facilities of airfield area(runway, taxiway and apron),visual aids(markings, markers and aeronautical ground lighting systems),airfield pavement(pavement surface requirements, pavement evaluation and maintenance),airfield environmental control(protection of obstacle free space and prevention from bird strike)and airfield operation maintenance and management. After training ,trainees are supposed to master the systematic and comprehensive knowledge on management procedures and technical standards about airfield area of civil airports.

1.Objectives
The objective of this course is to introduce the airfield environment protection and its significance, the management target and the standards, rules and regulations related to the airfield obstacle free space management. Through introducing the basic knowledge on the airfield obstacle free space management ,such as surveying, coordinate and elevation, Meanwhile this course systematically depicts the study approach to OLS,OIS,ILS and OAS contained in Annex 14.Based on the airfield obstacle free space management methods and procedures under some real situations ,this course is aimed to enable trainees to grasp not only the systematic and comprehensive knowledge on the airfield obstacle free space management but the calculation capability.

This training will cover the operation procedures and technology standards of aeronautical ground lighting system in detail, as well as the standards of aeronautical ground lighting applied in the airports of different categories. This training focuses not only on the operation principles, the technologies and functions of new aeronautical lighting system, but also on the solution and analysis of the frequently-occurred problems in the operation of aeronautical ground lighting system. Through training, the trainees are expected to nave good command of the knowledge to manage and operate on the aeronautical ground lighting system.

OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT ON SNOW&ICE REMOVAL
1. Objectives
This course consists of two parts which are airport snow&ice removal and aircraft de-icing, including the weather change pattern and its characteristics in winter season. The course focuses on the operation procedures and technical standards of aircraft de-icing, the design, plan and facilities of the centralized de-icing pad, the de-icing system, equipment and mixture ratio of de-icing fluid, the characteristics and storage of de-icing fluid. The course also introduces the operation procedures and technical standards of airport and runway snow&ice removal, the application of different operation modes, the selection of de-icing facilities for airport and runway ice and snow removal, the selection and storage of snow melt agent and operation plan under the adverse weather condition as well. Through training, the trainees are required to have a systematic and comprehensive knowledge on the management of civil airport winter operation so as to safeguard the operation safety and reduce operation cost, emission and pollution.

FUNDAMENTAL THEORY OF FLIGHT TRAINING
1. Objectives
In order to establish a solid foundation in the future, it is very important for the graduates. (also called “4+1” flight students) to learn fundamental flight theory, improve their professional English listening and speaking ability. So necessary technical terms, English vocabulary and elementary air-ground communication are to be instructed at the college.
2. Training Courses
There are 11 courses to learn here. They are Flight Operation Management, Airplane and Engine, Navigation, Aerodynamics, Aviation Meteorology, Flight Fundamental Theory, English Speaking and Listening, Fundamental Aviation English, Sky-talk, General English and Professional English.
3. Duration:
16 weeks of fundamental courses;24 weeks of intermediate courses; 30 weeks of advanced courses

THE DIFFERENTIATION COURSE TRAINING ON ATPL
1. Objectives
This training is designed to further improve the theoretical knowledge level of the test takers for ATPL test. Through training, the training, the trainees shall systematically grasp the different knowledge points between the ATPL test in China and overseas so as to understand the operation environment in China and also lay a solid theoretical foundation for airline transport techniques and other relevant knowledge.

THEORETICAL TRAINING COURSE FOR AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT LICENSE
1. Objectives
The theoretical training course for airline transport pilot license is based on “The Test Program of  theoretical training course for airline transport pilot license (airplane)(DOC NO.FS-ATS-004A)” formulated by CAAC Flight Standard Department. The aim of the course is to improve thee theoretical level and knowledge for those who will participate in the examination to get the theoretical licenses for airline transport pilots. The trainees can get a series of necessary knowledge about theory for CAAC airline transport pilot license required. And the course can also lay a solid foundation on understanding and mastering related theoretical knowledge for airline transport pilot license.

2. Training Programs
In order to make it convenient for the management of the training and trainees’ understanding and mastering, the course is divided into 11 modules. The course covers almost focal points in the test program of theoretical training course for airline transportation pilots’ license formulated by CAAC authorities. Course differences (difference between China and foreign countries) and full-course training are carried out. And trainees are supposed to participate either of the courses.

108 hours for full-course training

TRAINING OF CABIN ATTENDANTS
1. Training resources
Cabin Attendant College is well-equipped with nice facilities and a qualified teaching faculty. For example, we have such facilities as Boeing 737-800 mock up, gymnastic training rooms and a powder room. Those who teach such courses as gymnastic exercises, etiquette training, make up and first aid are all of authorized qualifications.

3. Outline
We provide chief pursers with courses such as management psychology, leadership capability, Teamwork construction, communication skills, cabin safety management, crew resource management and aviation laws and Regulations. The recommended training duration ranges from 24 to 40 hours, and language used in training will mainly be Chinese.
We also provide the service industry personnel with such courses as VIP service skills, communication skills, etiquette, make-up, gymnastic exercises and tea & wine cultures so as to improve their service skills and standards. The training duration depends on the types of trainees. The training language will be in Chinese.

1.Introduction
General Aviation Center(GAC) fulfills the qualifications for undertaking the training of aircraft maintenance engineers, pilots and operation managers for general aviation companies and departments and the police aviation departments. Through practices in recent years, GAC has accomplished a training system suitable for various professionals of general aviation companies and departments and police aviation departments. According to civil (police) aviation aircraft maintenance and pilot license training requirements, GAC has gradually established systematic professional teaching materials and been equipped with qualified teachers and labs for training requirements with our own aircraft which include one C-172 airplane, one S-300C helicopter and two B-2B helicopters, as well as helicopters such as Z-9, B212, EC-135 and A-109 which are also available to trainees because of the cooperation between the Police Aviation Office of the Ministry of Public Security and CAUC.

The Flight Dispatcher Training Center of CAUC

According to CCAR-65R1, on Mar. 8th 2006 the Flight Dispatcher Training Center of CAUC was authorized with the training certificate by CAAC North China Regional Administration to conduct the 800-hour and 200-hour training on flight dispatchers.
The Flight Dispatcher Training Implementation and Management Manual, and the training Program and Teaching Syllabus on 8—hour and 200-hour training respectively have been examined and approved b CAAC North China Regional Administration. Now they are used to maintain a high standard training.
There are 50 teachers in the Flight Dispatcher Training Center of CAUC. Five of them have the Flight dispatcher license issued by FAA, five have the Flight dispatcher license issued by CAAC.
The Flight Operation Control Laboratory in the Flight Dispatcher Training Center of CAUC has 36 training positions, which can vividly simulate the whole process of the flight operation control, such as aircraft dispatching, dispatch control, comprehensive management, maintenance management, flight crew, cabin services, laboratory management, weight and balance, ramp control. Training for ICAO English Proficiency Test Center

1. Objectives
According to the requirements of English fluency for pilots by ICAO DOC 9835, the English training project is carried out for pilots in CAAC. The training courses mainly focus on pilots’ pronunciation, grammatical structure, aviation vocabulary, English proficiency, comprehension and communication abilities. On that basis, the project will improve pilots’ comprehensive English proficiency and their level of regular and irregular (including emergency procedures) air-ground communication.
2. Training programs
According to the requirements of English fluency for pilots by Flight Standard Department of CAAC and ICAO DOC 9835, the training courses for ICAO English proficiency test consis of three parts: fundamental English listening and speaking, aviation English listening and speaking and radio telephony communication.
Fundamental English listening and speaking is composed of text A and B. Text A deal s with fundamental oral English training while Text B is fundamental aviation oral English Training.
Listening materials of aviation English listening and speaking are based on piloting operation and training manuals, including major systems of the airplane such as aviation meteorology, air navigation, and system of airspace management and air traffic control.
Radio telephony communication includes regular and irregular (including emergency procedures) air-ground communication.
3. Duration
The full training courses are divided into three modules:
Module 1: 28 hours
Module B: 84 hours
Module C: 112 hours
Module A provides model ICAO English test questions. Module B focuses on irregular air-ground communication. Module C stresses on fundamental English listening and speaking and regular air-ground communication.
The training courses can be divided into three models: pre-test guidance course will be carried out in Module A, which takes 28 hours. English improvement course training will be carried out in Module A and Module B, which takes 112 hours. Full–course training will be provided in Module A, B and C, which takes 224 hours in total.
