On September 15th, Mr. Florian Guillermet, Executive Director of SESAR JU (Single European Sky ATM Research Joint Undertaking) and Mr. David Bowen, Head of ATM Operations & Systems of SESAR JU visited Civil Aviation University of China and gave two lectures for the students.
President Wu Tongshui welcomed the two guests. Mr. Yan Shaohua, director of the International Affairs Department made a basic introduction of CAUC.
ATM experts from CAUC and the two guests from SESAR JU held a seminar, focusing on air traffic flow management, use of airspace, Communication Navigation Surveillance (CNS), Performance Based Navigation (PBN) and the next generation ATM system, etc..
During the lectures, Mr. Florian Guillermet made a comprehensive introduction of SESAR, including its background, operation mode and innovations, while Mr. David Bowen introduced SESAR’s future plan on CNS and made specific explanations on CNS-related techniques.
