On January 23rd, Asian Education Academy Malaysia (AEA) CEO Mr. Jerry Yap and AEA staff visited Civil Aviation University of China to explore cooperation. CAUC Director of International Affairs Department Mr. Yan Shaohua and other staff welcomed and held meetings with delegates from AEA.
First of all, Mr. Yan Shaohua introduced basics of CAUC, including the colleges and departments, scientific research, international cooperation and policies on international students’ admission. Then Mr. Jerry Yap introduced the development, admission, curriculum, and international cooperation of AEA.
Later the two parties discussed the possibility of cooperation on joint training of students. Mr. Jerry Yap suggested establishing an “1+3” educational model, by which students from Southeast Asia can receive one-year preparatory education in AEA, including Chinese, math, English, physics and civil aviation related courses and then come to CAUC for the rest 3-year education to get a bachelor’s degree. Mr. Yan Shaohua agreed with the suggestion and represented that CAUC will help those students to apply for scholarships from the government and other sources, and provided teachers for the preparatory education in AEA.
After the meeting, the two parties signed a Cooperation Framework Agreement, including the cooperation on students’ admission, teachers training and academic seminars.
Through cooperation, the two parties can take full advantage of each other’s high-quality education resources, which will also promote educational cooperation between China and Malaysia.
