On October 31st, CAUC and Manchester Metropolitan University signed an MoU at the Academic Exchange Center of CAUC. Mr. Yu Jian, Vice President of CAUC and Mr. Andrew Gibson, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Science and Engineering from MMU signed the MoU on behalf of the two parties.
According to the MoU, the two universities will promote cooperation on student exchange and scientific research.
Mr. Yu Jian said that the two universities have done some research of mutual interest on sustainable aviation and noise control, which have laid a good foundation for the cooperation between the two parties. Going global is one of CAUC’s development goals, and CAUC is trying to create more opportunities for students and teachers to study abroad and improve their international vision.
Mr. Andrew Gibson noted that during the past several years, professors from MMU’s Sustainable Aviation and Environment Center have visited CAUC and made a lot of academic exchanges with CAUC professors. He hoped the two universities can broaden their cooperative fields on the basis of this MoU.
The two parties also discussed the possibilities of establishing new models of student exchange, and related credit articulation issues.
MMU delegation also made a presentation to CAUC students after the MoU signing ceremony.
