The CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur) evaluation expert team from France came to Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering (SIAE) at CAUC for a three-day on-site visit and evaluation. This is CTI’s second round of evaluation on SIAE.
During the visit, the CTI expert team talked with CAUC president, vice president and directors of related departments, listened to the working report of SIAE and visited the laboratories of SIAE. They also held a meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Education, CAAC, Tianjin Municipal Education Committee, ENAC, ISAE, the supporting enterprises, graduates, undergraduate and postgraduate students, teachers and administrative staff of SIAE.

The expert team asked some questions concerning the working report of SIAE, including financial input and policy support provided by CAAC, Tianjin Municipal government and CAUC on the development of SIAE. They also asked some questions on student admission, social recognition and salaries of graduates, international communication and cooperation, university-enterprise cooperation, teaching quality guarantee system, faculty construction, resource platform building, laboratory building and sharing, experimental teaching and enterprise practice, and cultivation of student innovative skills.

In 2013, SIAE got the highest level in the CTI accreditation and was accredited by European Science and Engineering Master Accreditation. SIAE has been devoted to cultivating interdisciplinary and innovative aeronautical and engineering technology and management talents, providing intelligent and technical support for aviation equipment design and manufacturing, and aircraft operation and maintenance, in order to meet the urgent needs of senior aviation engineering talents. Up till now, SIAE has cultivated 6 batches and nearly 400 aviation safety management talents. The result of this round of CTI accreditation will be announced in September.
