The annual meeting of International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation was held in Shanghai from May 7 to 9. Ren Dongliang, a student from the College of Aeronautical Engineering of CAUC won the Norman C.T. Liu Asia Scholarship and attended the awarding ceremony on behalf of the two Chinese winners of the scholarship. Ren Dongliang said, “Attending the annual meeting of ISTAT broadened my horizons and strengthened my determination to devote myself to the civil aviation industry. This experience gave me the power to pursue my dream!”
Mr. Norman C.T. Liu, the Chairman of GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) established the Norman C.T. Liu Asia Scholarship at CAUC in 2016 and the scholarship is managed by the ISTAT Foundation. This is the first time for the ISTAT Foundation to hold its annual meeting in China and four students were invited to attend the scholarship awarding ceremony, including three other students from Beihang University, Kyushu University and University of Kuala Lumpur.
