On March 17th, Mr. Weyepe Jean-Dedieu, an alumnus of CAUC, came back to visit his teachers and old friends.
Weyepe comes from Cameroon. He enrolled in the Department of Electronic Information Engineering from 2007 and got his bachelor’s degree in 2011. After graduation, he continued his postgraduate study in the program of Navigation, Control and Guidance, and received his master’s degree in 2014. Later he worked in AVIC International and was sent to Cameroon as the deputy representative of customer services. He is now responsible for the after-sale services of AVIC-made aircraft (such as MA-60, Y-12) which are operating in African countries.
This time Weyepe came back to China for business purpose. Although he has a very busy schedule, he still made time to visit his teachers in CAUC, in order to show his sincere thanks for those teachers who had taught him for many years. He said when he was studying in CAUC, his teachers never ignored his request for help in spite of the language barriers. On the contrary, they often answered his questions patiently and invited him to join their scientific research programs.

Weyepe also mentioned his participation in the “Speaking Chinese Contest” in Tianjin, and he suggested the international students attend various contests actively such as the Chinese proficiency Contest or the Singing Completion for International Students, which can help them to learn Chinese language faster, get to know more new friends and adapt to the daily study more quickly.
Increasing the number of international students is one of the requirements in CAUC’s 13th Five-year Plan. Therefore, the university is striving to expand the scale of international students on campus, and provides adequate academic and logistic support, in order to make CAUC one of the famous civil aviation universities in the world.
