The 2017 ICAO Global Aviation Training and Trainair Plus Symposium was held in Addis Ababa,, Ethiopia. As an associate member of ICAO Trainair Plus Program (hereinafter referred as TPP), CAUC was invited to attend the symposium and was awarded the membership plaque during the symposium.
More than 300 representatives from 76 countries’ governments, enterprises and universities attended the symposium, and discussed topics on aviation trainings. Mr. Zhang Peng, director of Engineering Techniques Training Center attended the symposium on behalf of CAUC. He pointed out that, “TPP is instructive to the standardization of global aviation training courses. Becoming a member of TPP is beneficial to the standardization of CAUC’s training courses and optimization of its degree education. In addition, it can bring positive effects on improving our academic level, international reputation and industry influence. ”
CAUC began the process of TPP membership application at the beginning of 2016, including the preparation of training manuals, technical documents, training venues, tools, faculties and equipment. In July 2016, CAUC passed the membership evaluation of TPP and became an associate member of TPP. Later, CAUC will introduce advanced training models, methods of standardized courses development and training, in order to promote the operation of TPP in CAUC and get the accreditation of full membership at the end of 2017.
