In order to enrich the foreign teachers and international students’ cultural life and help them learn more about Chinese culture, the International Affairs Department organized a trip to the Great Wall on November 12, 2017. Twenty-one foreign teachers and international students joined this trip.
The Great Wall they visited is the Huangyaguan Great Wall in Xi County, Tianjin. Although they’ve heard about the Great Wall for some time, they were still shocked by the magnificent and splendid ancient walls when they arrived at the foot of the Great Wall. Touching the bricks of the Great Wall, they felt the long history of this great miracle and admired the wisdom and diligence of the ancient Chinese people.
After this visit, some students said: “Learning Chinese culture by on-site visit is more helpful than reading the books. We hope that we can have more opportunities like this to learn Chinese culture.”
