On June 11th, Mauritius delegation visited CAUC and the delegates include Mr. Dheerendra Kumar DABEE, the Solicitor-General, Mrs. Kan Oye FONG WENG-POORUN, Senior Chief Executive, Ministery of Tourism and External Communications, Mr. Iswarduth POKHUN, Director of Civil Aviation, Mr. A. DHUNPUTH, Vice-President of Air Mauritius Ltd., Mrs. Asha DABEESINGH and Mr. P. MAHABIRSINGH. Mr. BAI Jie, CAUC’s Vice President welcomed the delegation and both sides are engaged in a friendly talk.
BAI Jie expressed warm welcome to the Mauritius delegation and he hoped to strengthen the two parties’ communication and understanding with each other. He pointed out that, after Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit in 2013 and Premier Li Keqiang’s visit in 2014 to Africa, the China-Africa relationship has stepped into a new stage. During Premier Li Keqiang’s visit in Africa, he proposed to increase the bilateral cooperation on “three networks (the high-speed rail network, the highway network and the regional aviation network).” As the only university in China which has covered all the necessary disciplines within the civil aviation industry, CAUC is willing to expand exchange and cooperation with Mauritius and other countries in Africa on civil aviation.
Mr. YAN Shaohua, Director of International Affairs Department introduced the current development of CAUC, including the facilities, disciplines, scientific research, students and faculties, international exchange and cooperation.
The Mauritius delegation expressed that they are deeply impressed by CAUC, and they hoped that CAUC can provide more trainings and suggestions for the Mauritius’ civil aviation education with the university’s complete disciplines and rich educational experience on civil aviation.
After the talk, the Mauritius delegation visited the Tower Control Simulation Laboratory in the College of Air Traffic Management, the Engine and Materials Laboratories in the Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering, Aircraft Radio Communication and Navigation System Training Room, Aircraft Maintenance Training Room, and the workshop in the Engineering Technical Training Center.
