On April 24th, Mr. Patrick KY, Executive Director of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Ms. Sylvett CHOLLET, representative of EASA in Beijing visited Civil Aviation University of China. Mr. BAI Jie, Vice president of CAUC received the delegation and both sides are engaged in a friendly talk.
Mr. BAI jie outlined the current development of CAUC, including disciplines, faculties and students, scientific research, campus environment and international cooperation and exchange. Co-director of Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering (SIAE) Thierry Liabastres introduced the background, educational model, faculties, students internship and employment of SIAE, etc..
Mr. Patrick KY conveyed his deep impression on the development of CAUC and was glad to see that SIAE has successfully combined the educational model and resources of both Chinese and French universities. He also expressed his hope for a deeper Sino-European cooperation and exchange on civil aviation. The two sides also discussed the possibility of cooperation on airworthiness in the future.
After the meeting, Mr. Patrick KY and Ms. Sylvett CHOLLET visited the laboratories at SIAE, including the Aero-engine Virtual Simulation Lab and Aero-engine Assembly Lab.
