Abstract: Regarding the issue of crevice corrosion at the joints of aerospace metal components, this study investigated 7075 aluminum alloy and TC4 titanium alloy as research subjects. Using COMSOL Multiphysics software, the study coupled the secondary current distribution of crevice corrosion with the physics filed for dilute species transport. Based on considerations of oxygen diffusion and concentration-dependent kinetic control equations, the corrosion behavior of metals within the crevice was simulated by analyzing both the corrosion-induced de鄄 formation of metals and the concentration changes of various ions in the electrolyte. Results indicate that in both types of material combinations, the degree of crevice corrosion decreases from the crevice opening toward the bottom. In the dissimilar metal combination, the corrosion of the 7075 aluminum alloy is more pronounced. Moreover, narrower crevice widths and greater depths lead to more significant variations in corrosion extent, current distribution, and ion concentration distribution within the crevices. This study provides a methodological reference for the simulation and prediction of crevice corrosion behavior in related metallic materials.
