Abstract: In order to support the further restructuring and optimization of Chinese aviation aircraft systems industry, a sys-
tematic review was conducted on the major mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and integration activities of leading
international aviation aircraft systems enterprises in the past 30 years. Firstly, the current development status of the aviation aircraft systems industry was investigated, and the pattern of international aviation aircraft systems enterprises at the end of the 20th century and at present was compared in light of the changes in the list of the world′stop 100 aviation enterprises. Then, the major modes, incentives, and obstacles for M&A and integration of aviation aircraft systems enterprises were proposed. Finally, four typical M&A and integration cases of aviation aircraft systems enterprises in the past 30 years were systematically analyzed from the aspects of integration schemes,integration modes, integration incentives, and integration effects. On this basis, the characteristics of M&A andintegration of aviation aircraft systems enterprises were generalized and summarized, and the development trendsof future structural restructuring and integration of the aviation aircraft systems industry were predicted.
