1. 师资基本情况Basic Situation

As of September 2018, the faculty of basic courses consists of 8 foreign language teachers and 13 mathematics/physics teachers (only full-time teachers are counted in the physical/chemical team, namely physics teachers). A total of 21 teachers have been able to fully undertake the courses in the preparatory cycle. The teacher's age, education, professional title and time of entry are shown in Table 1.

The core faculty team of our basic course is between 25-45 years old, with an average age of 36 years old; 52% of teachers have doctoral degree; 19% have senior titles and 71% have intermediate titles.

2.教研/科研和工程能力Teaching, Research and Engineering capabilities

The core faculty team of the basic course should continuously improve teaching and foreign language ability; innovate their curriculum, so that they can reach the level of French elite preparatory mathematics course. Meanwhile, they should attain more teaching achievements, and strive to achieve breakthroughs in teaching and research.

The followings are the goals of teachers in teaching research and curriculum construction in the next 10 years:

(1) Carry out in-depth exploration in the localization of the French elite education model, and apply for 1-2 provincial and ministerial-level projects;

(2) Consolidate the teaching achievements and curriculum construction achievements, and apply for 1-2 school-level and above school-level Teaching Achievement Awards from both mathematical and foreign languages;

(3) Improve curriculum construction; make breakthroughs in bilingual mathematics courses and featured foreign language demonstration courses; build 6 school-level quality courses; build 1 provincial and ministerial-level quality course;

(4) Construct SIAE elite Mathematics and Physics courses teaching materials, SIAE featured foreign language courses teaching materials, and strive for the publication of some textbooks;

(5) Obtain one provincial and ministerial level Teaching Achievement Award.

3.师资培养手段Further Education of Teachers

(1) Sent English teachers to foreign countries for in-depth training in language proficiency and pedagogy, and create opportunities for foreign language teachers to complete continuous training on relevant language skills and teaching methods;

(2) Sent 2 preparatory cycle mathematics teachers to visit and exchange in France;

(3) The French experts attend the courses of each Mathematics and Physics teacher and guide the Chinese preparatory mathematics teachers to improve the teaching quality;

(4) Contact influential academic experts in other institutions or universities to lead SIAE foreign language teachers to apply for education and scientific research topics at the bureau level and above to help foreign language teachers achieve better level;

(5) Designed relevant policies and develop the series of textbooks;

(6) Designed plans for foreign language teachers to achieve doctoral degrees.
