The Engineer Cycle lasts three and a half years. The teaching curriculum of basic courses, professional courses, and internships in different companies is determined together by SIAE, GEA, and supporting companies. The teaching of basic and professional courses, the conduction of student practices and graduation papers are afforded by both the professors from Chinese and French universities and companies. The students accomplish their elite engineering training through classroom teaching, laboratory teaching, and research and practice in companies. The Engineer Cycle concentrates on teaching students comprehensive aeronautical technology  and management knowledge, and the capabilities of creation and practice. They also acquire the personality traits of being persistent, not being afraid of the difficulties of exploring unknown things, and creating the future.

The training process of SIAE specially focus on  multi-cultural integration  in order for the students to have an international vision, strong ability of team work and communication, comparatively great language ability (English, French and Chinese), and comprehensive cultural literacy.

First and second year of Engineer Cycle : courses offered to all the students of different majors.

Third year of Engineer Cycle : Three majors offered to the students: ①Aircraft Structure and Materials, focusing on the research of aviation safety and maintenance;② Aero-propulsion System, in particular their deign operation and their maintenance ; ③Avionics and Air Traffic Control Systems focusing on the design and operation of airborne equipment, navigation and air-ground communication  

Practice Phase of Engineering Cycle : The students practice at Chinese and European companies and institutions, airlines, airports  and CAAC-ATMB.
