I. Introduction

SIAE (Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering) is a Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution officially approved by the Ministry of Education. It is the only civil aviation engineering institute established by CAUC and GEA in China. Combining the joint efforts of higher education institutions, SIAE aims at the training of elite aviation engineers with international standards. Complete with the cooperation platform set up between the Chinese and French governments, universities and enterprises, SIAE is committed to fully introducing the French elite preparatory and engineer education system into China, aims at cultivating compound talents with deep and wide basis of mathematics and physics, broad professional knowledge, cross-cultural communication and exchange competence, systematic thinking as well as excellent engineering practical ability. In 2011, the Institute was officially listed in the second batch of "Excellent Engineering Education and Training Program" of Ministry of Education. In 2013, it was authenticated by CTI.SIAE's educational system covers a 7-year-long education with two stages: preparatory (3 years) and engineering education (4 years). Students are required to take the National Postgraduate Entrance Examination in the fifth year. Those who pass the examination are eligible for the postgraduate education and will be registered as postgraduates in the beginning of the sixth year. Students who have completed all their studies and are qualified will receive the master's diploma of Engineering issued by Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering as well as the French engineers academic title. In 2007, SIAE enrolled in the first grade of students, and by far, four groups of students have graduated from SIAE.

2. Enrollment policy

Complete with the cooperation platform set up between the Chinese and French governments, universities and enterprises, SIAE is committed to fully introducing the French elite preparatory and engineer education system into China, aims at cultivating compound talents with deep and wide basis of mathematics and physics, broad professional knowledge, cross-cultural communication and exchange competence, systematic thinking as well as excellent engineering practical ability. The basic educational system lasts 7 years (including undergraduate and postgraduate education).In addition to the direct enrollment of students from different provinces from the college entrance examination, SIAE also selects the freshmen from CAUC majoring in science and engineering. The selection is concurrent with the military training, and the number of students selected from other colleges = 120 (total enrollment. The selection is divided into the following parts: registration, preliminary selection, examination, re-examination and admission.

3, Selection methods and procedures

(2) Selection procedure

1. Primary Election: With comprehensive analysis of the college entrance examination results of candidates from various provinces, as well as by taking into account the actual enrollment situation and regional differences in the quality of students, we will choose from the applicants 400 students as eligible candidates to participate in the selection. Then, we will create the QQ group and map out the selection schedule.Announcement of the list: it will be published online, posted in the apartment, and in QQ Group.

2. Examinations (written exams): Mathematics, Physics and English (mainly in TOFEL form) examinations organized by SIAE. In total, about 160-180 students will be selected.Announcement of the namelist and re-examination: it will be published online, posted in the apartment, and in QQ Group.

3. The re-examination consists three parts: English oral interview, comprehensive interview, non-intelligence factor test.

4. Enrollment: The Institute will  determine the final admission list by considering the results of all examinations.Announcement of the namelist and application: it will be published online, posted in the apartment, and in QQ Group.

5. Application confirmation: After being notified, students who have been confirmed to be selected must bring their credentials to the Office of Teaching Affairs of SIAE for registration before the deadline specified in the notification, which must be signed and confirmed by the applicant.

6. Reorientation procedure: The Department of Teaching Affairs will be responsible for Reorientation.

(3) Special reminder

Students are required to pay close attention to the selection schedule and the results of the primary selection through the designated channels after entering the school. If you miss the selection examination because of not paying attention to the notice in time, you will be responsible for the consequences.
