Dear 2017-grade freshmen from various colleges:

       The selection of 2017-grade students for Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering (SIAE) has already been initiated. According to the overall arrangement of CAUC's 2017 enrollment procedures, the Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering was approved by the school to carry out the selection of students. In order to make the selection process more reasonable and fair, the specific plans and arrangements for the selection work are hereby notified as follows:

     Firstly, Application

    SIAE is responsible for the selection of freshmen whose scores are above the lines of the key universities. By far, the conditions for application have been announced (refer to SIAE website). Besides, the online application, and SIAE’s examination of conditional review of registered students have been finished.

    Secondly, the Primary Election

    1．Examination Arrangements

After verification, it has been determined that 267 candidates are capable of taking the math and physics exams in the primary election, the math and physics exams are within the scope of high school mathematics and high school physics. The content and format of English test are similar to those of the TOEFL (including listening, not including spoken test). Please refer to the attached table for the list of students and the arrangements for the examination room. The schedule is as follows:

(1) Mathematics and physics exams. Friday, September 1, 2017:

08:10-08:20 Candidates enter the exam room and fill in the information

08:20-10:20 Math Exam

10:40-12:10 Physics Exam

(2) English written test. Friday, September 1, 2017 (Friday):

13:50-14:00 Candidates enter the exam room and fill in the relevant information

14:00-16:30 English written examination

     2. Announcement of Preliminary Results

According to the evaluation results of the examination conducted by SIAE, 140 students will be selected to enter the stage of re-examination. The primary election results will be announced on September 5, 2017.

     Thirdly, Re-examination

     SIAE organizes the re-examination in the form of interviews (English interviews, comprehensive interviews) and non-intelligence factors test. At the beginning of the re-examination, SIAE is responsible for arranging the centralized lecturing; the time and place will be notified along with there-examination interview arrangement.

After the re-examination, all selected students will be selected based on their overall merits. Meanwhile, 10 standby candidates will be selected (including ranking order).

     Fourthly, the List is Determined

    After being notified, students who have been confirmed to be selected must bring their credentials to the Office of Teaching Affairs of SIAE for registration before the deadline specified in the notification, which must be signed and confirmed by the applicant. Overdue non-reporting is deemed as a voluntary waiver. The consequent vacancies will be made up for by the standby candidates in accordance with the ranking. The final selection list will be determined, and with a 3-day long public announcement. After the public announcement passes without objection, the list will be delivered to the Department of Teaching Affairs.
