On November 12th, Dr. Christoph SCHREMPP, the General Manager of Airbus Completion and Delivery Centre in Tianjin, visited Civil Aviation University of China Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering and gave a lecture titled “How Airbus Delivers Aircraft in Tianjin” to the students.
efore the lecture, Dr. SCHREMPP asked the students whether they prefered him to give a speech in English or French. With this, he showed considerable demeanor and self-confidence. In the lecture, he first briefed the students about the composition and plant area of Airbus Tianjin. After that, he introduced the different work departments of the delivery center and their respective functions, and detailedly described the division of labor of different departments and how they work in by relating different stages of the delivery process. Then, examples were given to illustrate the issues that may be encountered in the delivery process and how Airbus Tianjin's departments can work together to resolve the issues. After the lecture, several students also asked Dr. SCHREMPP their own questions. Some talked about the relationship between innovation and manufacturing, hoping to gain more opportunities to learn about Airbus Tianjin, and some asked Dr. SCHREMPP about his experience in China. Dr. SCHREMPP answered these questions with appealing answers and received applause from the students. Finally, Party Committee deputy secretary Mrs. Wang Jinhong took the gifts brought by Mr. SCHREMPP for Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering, and spoke to the students.
In this lecture, the students not only explored the delivery details of Airbus Completion and Delivery Centre in Tianjin, but also appreciated the elegance of the elites in the industry. Students all expressed the hope that there will be more similar opportunities to learn more about the aviation industry from a business perspective.
