Abstract: On the afternoon of March 25, 2016, Professor Hua Keqiang, at the invitation of SIAE, came to SIAE to give a lecture on "Engineering Education Reform". All staff and some students attended to the lecture.

Professor Hua Keqiang combined the background of CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate) and the current situation of its development, and by relating the pilot case of our university's electronic information major, he introduced in detail how the CDIO model was carried out by student-centered training.

Over the past few years, CAUC has established a multi-faceted, multi-level and multi-mode talent training system, in which the CDIO has gained considerable recognition. CDIO model refers to conceive, design, implementation and operation. The model is to build an integrated teaching system so as to cultivate students' comprehensive abilities of conception, design, implementation and operation in engineering practice.
