   Professor Zhang Zheng Paid Academic Visit to SIAE

On November 16, at the invitation of the China-Europe College, Dr. Zhang zheng, doctoral supervisor of School of Materials Science and Engineering of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics,

Standing Director of China Mechanical Engineering Society, Deputy Director of Failure Analysis Section of China Mechanical Engineering Society and Director General, came to SIAE for academic interactions. The teachers of from the office of Aircraft Structure and Materials of SIAE attended the meeting.

Professor Zhang is mainly engaged in the study of prediction and prevention of material failure, as well as the application the relevant technologies etc. Professor Zhang shared his experience in teaching, scientific research, academic paper writing, and project application. By recounting such aspects: National Natural Science Foundation, National Natural Science Foundation for Young People, the national key R&D program, major aviation engine projects, and the C919 airliner development program, he expressed his opinions. He listened attentively to each teacher's field of research, and offered effective guidance for each of them on the popular research areas in structure and materials.

After the symposium, Prof. Zhang visited the laboratory of aircraft structure and materials of SIAE.

      they had deep exchanges on such following topics: to encourage SIAE students to enter relevant laboratories of the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics to conduct technical internships and to pursue doctoral studies, to encourage SIAE's young teachers to continue their studies and so forth. This symposium improved the mutual understanding between the two colleges and created a good foundation for further cooperation.
