SIAE held the 2016-grade freshman opening ceremony

On the morning of September 18th, 2016, the opening ceremony of the 2016-grade students of SIAE was held in the auditorium of SIAE. Mr. Yang Xinsheng, the dean of SIAE, Mr. Thierry Liabastres, the French dean of SIAE, Mr. Xu Zhou, the Party Committee Secretary, Party Committee deputy secretary Mrs. Wang Jinhong attended the opening ceremony. All the Chinese and foreign teachers and some students in the school, as well as all the freshmen of 2016, attended the ceremony.
Mr. Thierry Liabastres, the French dean of SIAE, expressed his expectation for the students, that is “continuous learning” .He warned the students to be willing to strive forward in the future, otherwise they will be defeated in the fierce competition. Meanwhile, he emphasized the discipline, and hoped that the students will master the essentials of continuous learning and prepare for the study.
The representative of the teachers, Wang Fusheng, gave some guidance and suggestions on the life transition to the freshmen. He reminded the students not to lose their way while enjoying the freedom of college life. They should adapt to this change as soon as possible and continue to study in higher education institutions.
Zhang Yiying, a student representative, imparted her preparatory cycle experience to the 2016-grade freshmen.She gave the students some guidance by relating her own experience at the time of enrollment, and emphasized that the importance of continuous learning was extremely important for future learning.
The freshman representative, Lu Xuyang expounded on his thoughts on college life after her college entrance examination and her yearning for college life. She also described her own understanding of the college life, and was eager to learn hard and live up to the youth.
Mr. Yang Xinsheng, the dean of SIAE, made a profound interpretation of the orientation and goals of SIAE. He mentioned that as an elite engineering college in China, Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering aims to fully learn from the training model and experience of the French training model of elite engineers, and to train students with into bilingual, compound aviation engineering and management elite with profound mathematical and physical basis, professional knowledge in variously broad areas, excellent capability in engineering practice and innovation, and skills in cross-cultural communication and communication. Mr. Yang Xinsheng analyzed the current development of China's civil aviation industry and made an analysis on several shortcomings that constrain the development of the civil aviation system. He said that the four professional directions of SIAE in the engineering cycle are precisely in line with current constraints of civil aviation, which greatly meets the needs of the state for civil aviation talents. On top of that, Mr. Yang Xinsheng also proposed that as a window and platform for the internationalization of China Civil Aviation University, SIAE should fully recognize its position and establish a high-level international cooperation platform for aviation engineering education. SIAE has become a talent training base for elite aviation engineers. In the end, he reminded everyone to firmly relate their aspiration with the development of SIAE. Only when the group achieves excellence, their own success can be guaranteed.
After the ceremony, SIAE gave an introduction for the overall education system of SIAE. The heads of each teaching and research office introduced the curriculum requirements. Mr. Xu Zhou, the Party Committee Secretary and Mr. Chen Yajun introduced the length of schooling and academic review system as well as the engineering education, so that the students can understand the system of the SIAE.
