北交大师生代表交流讲座

            On May 15th, more than 200 students from the 2011-grade, 2012-grade and 2013-grade gathered in 101 conference room in Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering, to attend lectures made by five postdoctoral, doctoral and postgraduate representatives from Beijing Jiaotong University on their progress of academic research, and also they had an opportunity to discuss the development opportunity of the transportation industry under “the Belt and Road Initiative”。

          Five delegates of the Beijing Jiaotong University used their own personal examples to share with SIAE students their experiences on academic research.Mr. Zhong, the former senior student who transformed halfway as well as the former teacher from Air Traffic Management  school, resolutely resigned after thinking twice, and chose to pursue further studies in his favorite field.Mr. Zhong used the example "cycling" as an starting point to demonstrate his deep understanding and interest in the vehicles. He used the words “intellectual desire and sense of crisis” to warn us that if we want to make progress, we must advance from the knowledge level and probe deep into thinking mode.The academic “Big Brother” lost in academic study, who has achieved successive postgraduate and doctoral study, advised SIAE students by resorting to key words “devotion and execution” that academic career starts from “reading” and from “imitation”. We shall learn to find inspiration from top-notch magazines, and gradually find our interest one step at a time and then strive for it.The “female man” who was struggling along the watershed of reading and working,  said that we should give play to the advantage of extensive knowledge and a solid foundation, demonstrate these advantages. Regardless of research or work, the most important thing is to find the key issues of the industry, and use our forward thinking to judge.

          Inspired by the representatives of the Beijing Jiaotong University, the SIAE students also enthusiastically raised the issues concerning cultivating research interests,C919 political orders, and the development of civil aviation under the “the Belt and Road Initiative” . Mr. Zhong taught us to broaden our scope of mind by using the method of “enclose the city with the countryside and open up new markets”, to  look forward to the development of civil aviation with "high-end, forward-looking, centralized effort, and professionalism",  to gain the right to speak by using technical independence, to gain authority by the use of quality assurance, and he also inspired us to learn and innovate in the filed of high-speed train development.

       As students in CAUC, it is our responsibility to contribute to the civil aviation industry. It is our responsibility to solve simple matters with an earnest attitude and deal with meticulous things repeatedly and to approach repeated matters with innovative ideas. Only by these efforts can we develop ourselves, develop airliner, and develop civil aviation.
