SIAE Invited Alumnus Song Jianyu to Give a Lecture
On May 10th, 2019, at the invitation of SIAE, Song Jianyu, an outstanding SIAE alumnus enrolled in 2007 returned to his alma mater and gave a lecture on the topic of “From A Confused College Student to An Excellent Engineer” in the lecture hall of SIAE, CAUC. The activity was moderated by Xu Zhou, Party Secretary of SIAE General Branch. Li Xin, Deputy Party Secretary of SIAE General Branch, attended the activity and delivered a speech as well.
In the lecture, Song Jianyu shared his experience of studying and working, and shared his feelings about college life and study abroad, career choice and work. From the very beginning, his study process was not very smooth, got troubled by the intense curriculum, and then he gradually learned to communicate with friends, teachers, and actively adapt to this different education model. He learned to explore his potential, reset the goal of life, and finally got rid of the confusion. He shared his thoughts and experience of studying in France featuring active study, adaptation as well as change, and his focus on logic, research as well as practice in the real-life work.
In the end, he encouraged the schoolmates who were present to take each course seriously. “Don't ruin the time of college. Do more meaningful things for the future, and learn to plan one’s own life.”
