On the evening of October 25th, 2017, at 7pm, in the 323 Classroom of SIAE, 2014-grade General Meeting was convened. In this year's General Meeting, Ms. Wang Jinhong, the deputy secretary of the SIAE General Party Branch,
Liu Xiaoyu, the 2014-grade instructor, as well as four 2016-grade and 2017-grade postgraduates attended the general meeting.
At the beginning of the General Meeting, the host Meng Xiangzhi presented the students with questions such as “What is the transformation of social contradictions?”, “What is 'One Historical Mission', and what is Four Greatness?” The students responded enthusiastically with very active atmosphere.
At the end of the opening stage, 2017-grade graduate student Cheng Sihan and Cui Yingxiu shared with them the experiences they had accumulated during the preparation for graduate school last year. They also said that although the entrance examination was not particularly difficult, it still needs all-out preparation. It must not be taken lightly. Afterwards, Liu Chenchen and Wu Yuhao, 2016-grade graduate students, by sharing their own postgraduate studies, introduced more perspectives on scientific research in future engineering cycle. Among them, Liu Chenchen reminded the students to pay attention to the "transition of model " between Preparatory and Engineering Cycle, and suggested that students should pay attention to the ceaseless efforts in scientific research, and should read more and ponder more; Professor Wu Yuhao encourages the students that although the study was very heavy, lessons were very burdensome, but for a prosperous future, persistent efforts are necessary. He also emphasized the importance of targeted reading in addition to completing the course tasks.
Next, the 2014-grade student in charge of daily lives and student in charge of studies, by using PPT, summed up some issues in daily lives and studies. Ouyang Junjie, in charge of daily lives, by mentioning the specific issues that emerged from the recent inspections, once again emphasized the comprehensive inspection standards and regulations of the school; Liu Tong, the student in charge of studies, analyzed the learning situation of the past year and emphasized that we should pay attention to student-teacher interaction in class and the adjustment of learning methods.
Later, Mr. Liu Xiaoyu talked about his experience in preparing for political exams in his school days. In light of his own experience in his current work, he told the students about the problems that should be paid attention to in preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination. He also suggested that everyone should pay more attention to politics and be responsible youth. At the same time, Mr. Liu reminded the students to prepare for examinations as soon as possible and to have a correct attitude. He also emphasized that in daily life, we must pay attention to safety. By mentioning some events that have just occurred recently, we must remind everyone and parents that they must improve their awareness of telephone fraud. In addition to security issue, students are also required to be self-disciplined in their own lives, pay attention to housekeeping standards, and set a good example for younger students.
Finally, Secretary Wang said that now everyone has ushered in a new stage of study, so we must refine the methods of learning. We must also adhere to the hard-working spirits. Besides, the students shall help each other and progress together. Meanwhile, Secretary Wang also emphasized that we should pay relentless effort in language learning, so that our language capability can be our competitive edge in the future.
The General Meeting lasted nearly two and a half hours. After the meeting, the students all thought that this meeting was substantial and expressed that they would meticulously review and rethink, and strive to achieve further process in their postgraduate entrance exam and in the Engineering Cycle learning.
