On April 16th, 2017, in order to further enrich the campus life of our students and cultivate the spiritual accomplishment, as well as to promote our country's splendid traditional culture, in Sino-European Institute Of Aviation Engineering of CAUC, SIAE, in alliance with the Flight Attendants College, held a grand event of Tea Culture Sharing and Appreciation. We were fortunate enough to have invited Huang Xinlin, the China Tea City - Pu 'er Tea's head in charge of the CCYL committee of Flight Attendants College to give us lectures.
During the conference, the music flew melodiously and tea was spread fragrance pleasantly. First of all, with a short film, we got a preliminary understanding of the history of Chinese tea culture, as well as plenty of materials about the cultivation and production of tea, specifically the understanding the history of Pu'er tea, its development, its prosperity and its modern status and propagation. Next, Huang Xinlin introduced us the origin of the name of Pu'er tea, the types of Pu'er tea, the six wonderful features of Pu'er tea, the reasons for drinking Pu-erh tea, the beautiful legend of Pu-erh tea, the classification of tea sets, the preparation of tea sets. In the end, Huang Xinlin presented us a live tea ceremony.
With regard to the origin of the name of Pu'er Tea, we know that after the tea Yunnan Pu'er was paid as a tributeto the Qing Emperor, it was personally given the name by Emperor Qianlong. For the types of Pu'er tea, Huang Xinlin introduced two types of tea: 1. Traditional Pu'er tea (raw tea) 2. Modern Puer tea (fermented tea). The six wonderful features of Pu'er tea are 1, peculiar place 2, peculiar breeds, peculiar raw material 4, strange shape 5, peculiar quality 6, peculiar way of drinking. The reason for drinking Pu'er tea, namely the benefits of Pu'er tea are:
Pu'er tea is a hot tea that not only has the effect of facilitating digesting but also promotes weight loss, high blood sugar level, detoxification, lowering of cholesterol, etc., and because of its inherent heat, it does not hurt the stomach. Besides, the tea sets enjoy a wide range of varieties. The tea-making process includes the preparation of tea utensils, peeling tea leaves, and making tea. In the end, Huang Xinlin's personal display of tea ceremony was even more compelling.
The students actively participated and widely praised this tea culture event. It has not only promoted the fine traditional culture of our country and enriched the campus life of the students, but also inspired us to further develop such activities.
