No Perfection is Reached without Rules - 2015-Grade Postgraduate Students General Meeting

 In an effort to continuously strengthen the building of a harmonious and healthy campus and actively explore the scientific nature of ideological and political education, on the morning of April 13, 2017, the SIAE 2015-grade postgraduate students held a General Meeting in 422 classroom on the theme of "Follow the Rules and Be the Exemplary Bringer of SIAE's Behavioral Norms", the General Meeting was chaired by 2015 grade instructor Liu Xiaoyu.

 The meeting was mainly carried out in four aspects: the evening dorm inspection, system of asking for leave and reporting after fulfilling the leave, sanitary inspection system and the punishment measures. First of all, Mr. Liu emphasized the discipline and asked the students not to be late, not to leave early and to actively participate in group activities, and pointed out that the supervisor is their mentor in terms of academic study, while instructor is their mentor in terms of behavioral norms. To ask for leave, the students have to obtain the consent of both the supervisor and instructor. Afterwards, on the security issue, he hoped that the students can keep the bottom line. He pointed out that the evening dorm inspection is an important way to ensure personal safety and a measure responsible for the school and students. Local students are not allowed to go back home without permission on weekends, and the students who are responsible for evening dorm inspection is not allowed to cover up for absent students. In addition, in terms of the students' daily life, we hope that the students can form good habits, pay attention to personal behavioral norms, maintain clean and tidy dormitory hygiene, avoid using appliances in violation of the rule, and SIAE will conduct irregular inspections and periodic sanitary inspection. Finally, in terms of the reward and punishment system, Mr. Liu listed the cases of students in violation of the rules, and warned that everyone shall not break the rule. If “you deal with behavioral norms and group activities with an opportunistic attitude, the Institute, and teachers will also have the option to treat you fairly”. Mr. Liu emphasized that graduation is on hand, but the rules and regulations of the school will still be strictly enforced, so he hoped that the students will spend the last semester with serious and responsible attitude in school.

 Through this meeting, the students achieved a better understanding of the behavioral norms at school, and thus they will exercise more strict requirements on themselves, so that they can be the bringer of behavioral norms for the whole grade, and play an exemplary role.
