Recommend out of Joy, Sharing out of Joy, Improvement via Sharing

  At 6pm on March 5th, 2017, the event “Recommend out of Joy” hosted by the Literature Association of SIAE was successfully held in classroom 201.

 The participants who shared their own experiences were composed of guest teams and contestants. The guest team included Li Jingxin, a 15-grade student from air traffic department and Louis, a French mathematics teacher from Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering. The contestants were from the SIAE and the College of Air Traffic Management.

The event began with the experience sharing of the guest team. First of all, 2015-grade student Li Jingxin from College of Air Traffic Management, the first prize winner of the Humanities Knowledge Competition in the five provinces in North China, shared their experiences in the Humanities Knowledge competition. With concise language, Li Jingxin introduced the difficulties in the competition, the knowledge she had learned, and the improvement she has received. The classmates benefited a lot from her speech, for which she won enthusiastic applause from the audience. Then Louis, a teacher from Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering shared his favorite music and presented some music performances for the students. Although he is a mathematics teacher, Louis is only 19 years old and has the same interests with us. Louis shared some of his views on music and recommended a lot of songs and bands for everyone, and played a favorite song for everyone in the end.

Next it’ the players’ turn to share and recommend. What were shared by the contestants varied from singers to directors; from art to technology, from debating skills to MUN (Model United Nations) collaboration? All of the students tried their best to show the audience what they excel in with videos, PPTs, and speeches. From time to time, the audience responded by the complimentary applause in appreciation. In the end, by a full voting, the Huang Junjie of College of Air Traffic Management and the Wang Xuan of Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering won the best prize.

Interest is shared for happiness, and life is joyful via sharing. Every participant made friends with those who shared the same hobby, or have a deeper understanding of fresh areas. After the event, there were also students exchanged their contact information, and we believe they will make progress together on the same course.
