Understand Gratitude with Social Responsibility at Young Age

 March 3, 2017, just during the period of the Chinese Observe Lei Feng Day, in an effort to carry forward the traditional virtues of helping others as well as to promote the devotion, friendliness and improvement, SIAE's Lei Feng Volunteer Service Team came to Changshuli Community to contribute their own efforts.

Within the activity, they have made such following deeds: hanging banners, posting posters, and strengthening cultural construction; sweeping stairs, cleaning up small advertisements, creating a good living environment; accompanying children, tutoring homework, and so forth. There are too many "unusual deeds" behind ordinary volunteer activities. They were also backed up by various colleges and neighborhood committees. Of course, SIAE's Volunteer Service Team also set an exemplary role in contributing their industrious efforts.

Volunteer service soon came to an end, but our sprite for public welfare and dedication will continue and pass on. The workers of the neighborhood committee were also touched by our enthusiasm and gave high recognition. Meanwhile, they expressed their expectation to establish an SIAE volunteer service base in Changshuli Community. This was immediately supported by the SIAE CCYL committee. The establishment of a voluntary service base is not only in line with the philosophy of "being grateful to school and returning favor to society" that SIAE has always been advocating, but also adhering to the guiding principle of "volunteering for dedication and mutually helping". Hence, this has further strengthened the insistence of the SIAE students.

"I would like to be bolt and nut.”The spirit of Lei Feng is a precious spiritual wealth of the Chinese nation. The "Nail spirit" is an indispensable essence of China's fine traditions, especially for the civil aviation industry that places safety first. Not only should the students carry forward such noble qualities in their daily lives, but they must also bring the hard-working and dedicated style to our study and life as well as civil aviation to sustain the civil aviation course.
