SIAE Held the Internship Mobilization Meeting for 2016-Grade Engineer Students

  At 18:30 on July 8th, 2016, the Internship Mobilization Meeting for 2016-Grade Engineer Students was held in the 101 Classroom of SIAE. All 2012-grade, 2011-grade and 2010-grade students attend the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Jinhong, deputy secretary of the Party branch of SIAE. Mr. Yang Xinsheng, the Chinese dean of SIAE, Mr. Thierry Liabastres, the French dean of SIAE, Associate Professor Chen Yajun, the director of the laboratory, and all grade instructors attended the meeting. The internship mobilization meeting aimed to raise morale for internship, to enhance the internship awareness, to clarify the responsibility for internships, to cultivate the spirit of engineers, and to supervise the engineers during the internship period and ensure that they were capable of thinking with an earnest attitude, of learning and making progress, of continuously improving their overall quality, so as to make full preparations for their future career.

At the internship mobilization meeting, by giving an account of French engineer system, the French Dean firstly emphasized the importance of corporate internships, and put forward specific requirements for internships at each stage. Afterwards, by relating the development status of SIAE, Mr. Chen Yajun clarified various tasks and specific requirements that needed to be completed during the student's internship. Afterwards, Party Committee deputy secretary Mrs. Wang Jinhong, who is in charge of student affairs, emphasized the importance of safety and discipline in the internship. She told the students that they needed to make full preparations of internship materials and that she had high hopes for their performance. In the end, Mr. Yang said internship opportunities and learning resources are not easy to come by. Hence, the students should pay attention to the internship process, make full use of the learning resources provided by SIAE, and broaden their horizons to continuously learn and improve their abilities and qualities, so as to become a brilliant aviation engineer.

On July 11th, the 2016 Internship of SIAE will officially kick off. Internship in enterprises consists of: Worker Internship (1 month), Technician Internship (2 months) and Final Studies Internship (PFE), the total duration is 9 months. The units for internship include well-known domestic and international airlines, aircraft design and manufacturing companies, research institutes, colleges and universities, and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which provide an excellent platform for training students' awareness of industry innovation and engineering practice.
